The ideal candidate should have a relevant tertiary qualification such as Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Operations/Production Management, along with at least one year of experience in a packhouse environment. Managerial experience and knowledge of fruit packing, as well as a technical understanding of production lines, would be advantageous. Familiarity with BRC, HACCP, food safety, and OHS regulations is a plus. The position requires strong leadership skills with excellent communication abilities at all levels. Proficiency in English is a must, while isiXhosa as a second language would be advantageous.
