Electrical Design Engineer Contract Role - 12 Months Negotiable DOE Hybrid Role - 2 days on-site per week in Aldermaston Other: MUST have valid SC/ DV clearance The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client. Some of your duties will include: Deliver electrical / control and instrumentation designs that address defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard. Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle, liaising with other discipline areas to ensure overall design intent is maintained. Ensure compliance with Company Assurance Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) and statutory requirements. Ensure application of standards is proportionate and that engineering best practice is adopted. Elevate areas of concern to the relevant Principal Engineer. What do you need to succeed? ONC / OND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline. HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline. Knowledge of legislation and standards associated with nuclear and / or high hazard facilities. Producing control and instrumentation designs as part of a multi-discipline design team. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment (preferably nuclear and / or explosives).
