Maintenance Manager Up to £57,000 Days - Monday to Friday Mountsorrel An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Manager to join a forward-thinking engineering team. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a background in electrical maintenance and a commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards. You will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, driving efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site. The Role: Support the Engineering Manager in daily operations and deputise in their absence. Manage and control maintenance budgets effectively. Oversee and allocate electrical and mechanical workloads to ensure smooth department operations. Plan and coordinate routine and major maintenance shutdowns. Ensure maintenance resources are prioritised to meet operational requirements. Drive performance improvements in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and work order completion rates. Lead safety and mini-improvement projects during planned plant stoppages. Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance, working towards a zero-harm environment. Provide technical direction, mentorship, and leadership to the engineering team. About You: Apprentice-trained in a relevant trade with an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role. Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge, including fault diagnosis and repair. Familiarity with TPM and PPM systems. Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley systems. Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Access. Ability to lead under pressure and drive improvements in team performance and safety culture.
