Operations Finance Manager - Consumer Goods

The Opportunity: ML6 is partnering with a leading consumer goods organization to hire a Finance Manager – Operations, responsible for overseeing financial aspects of operational expenditures. This role is crucial in analyzing and managing more than $1.2 billion in annualized costs across multiple manufacturing sites, providing insight into both variable and fixed costs, and supporting leadership with financial reporting and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in operations finance, FP&A, and cost modelling within a manufacturing setting. If you excel at financial analysis, data interpretation, and process improvement, this is the perfect opportunity to make a significant impact What You’ll Be Doing: Conduct in-depth financial analysis on operational expenditures to identify trends, cost drivers, risks, and opportunities. Monitor, track, and generate reports on fixed costs across the company’s operations. Present financial data to non-financial stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with the VP Manufacturing teams and other decision-makers. Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for leadership teams. Assist with the annual budget, ongoing forecasts, and strategic planning. Enhance processes to communicate short-term financial impacts and operational cost projections. Develop and refine cost allocation models to fairly distribute expenses across business units. Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and continuously improved for effective reporting. Implement automated financial reporting tools to improve efficiency. Design self-service financial dashboards for internal stakeholders. Contribute to cost modelling, benchmarking efforts, and data-driven operational decisions. What You’ll Need to Be Successful: CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. At least 5 years of finance experience, ideally with exposure to cross-functional business areas. Manufacturing industry experience is an asset. Proficiency in operations finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and product costing. Advanced expertise in SAP and financial reporting tools. Strong ability to interpret financial data and present insights in a clear and strategic manner.
