Job Title: Senior Rock Engineer Location: Free State, Mining Job Type: Full-time, permanent One of Hire Resolve's Leading Mining Clients are seeking an experienced Senior Rock Engineer to join their team at a mining operation in the Free State. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rock engineering with extensive experience in the mining industry. Responsibilities: - Conduct geological and geotechnical surveys to assess rock stability and ground conditions - Develop safe and efficient rock support systems to minimize the risk of rock falls and collapses - Provide technical guidance and support to mine operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations - Conduct rock mechanics testing and analysis to evaluate rock behavior under different conditions - Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams to optimize mine design and layout for safe and efficient production - Train and mentor junior rock engineering staff to ensure high standards of work and professional development Responsibilities: Ensure safe and optimal extraction of ore reserves Accountable for the legal compliance, audit and administration Manage the oversight risk of rock instability Requirements: Grade 12 Chamber of Mines in Rock Mechanics Metalliferous Must be registered with SANIRE / ECSA 10 years experience in underground mining operations with one of the following commodities: gold or platinum as a Rock Engineer Experience in dolomite and sink hole management Experience in open pit and surface mining Benefits: Salary: R3m R3.2m CTC If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by emailing your CV to mininghireresolve.za.com or visit our website: www.hireresolve.co.za
