Financial Accountant

Job Description: As the Group Accountant, your duties and responsibilities include the following: Prepare financial journals for both annual and interim reporting Compile consolidated and separate financial statements Prepare financial reports Review the accuracy of financials and oversee the necessary adjustments or corrections Support the preparation of audit committee packs and shareholder reporting packs Review the Integrated Annual Report to ensure accuracy and compliance Assist with the preparation of management accounts Serve as the primary point of contact for the coordination of external audits Plan the audit process and manage logistics throughout the audit period Organize and facilitate relevant meetings with auditors Ensure compliance with the Tax Act and all relevant regulations Prepare and submit tax returns Manage SARS audits and correspondence Prepare monthly calculations for interest, IFRS 15, IFRS 16 and cash flow hedges Prepare and post month-end journals Review the balance sheet to ensure accuracy and completeness Oversee the legal restructuring of legal entities within the group Provide finance support to cost center owners Skills & Experience: SAICA articles completed at a Big 4 Firm Advanced proficiency in Excel Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting Qualification: Registered CA(SA) Contact JENELLE COOKSON on 021 418 1750, quoting the Ref: CTF020638.
