Job Description

Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company, is currently seeking a skilled Chargehand Mechanic to join their team based in the Northern Cape. Requirements: - Senior Certificate (Grade 12) - Mechanic/Auto Electrician Trade Test - N3 Certificate in Engineering - Dover B Symbol Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure equipment availability and reliability by applying maintenance management systems and resources to meet production targets. Track progress and assess job outcomes. - Oversee and inspect daily activities of subordinates, providing coaching and on-the-job training to maintain compliance with organisational maintenance standards. - Manage team performance and resolve conflicts effectively. - Execute team operational plans to achieve defined objectives, working collaboratively with other teams within and associated with the department. - Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations. - Recognise and report unsafe or hazardous conditions in the workplace. - Actively participate in safety meetings. - Coordinate maintenance activities, including statutory inspections and audits by both internal and external service providers. - Ensure timely execution of scheduled and unscheduled mechanical repairs, inspections, and installation tasks as required.
