Fleet Technician

Join an FMCG team as a Fleet Technician in the Western Cape Your primary responsibility will be for maintaining the optimal operation, safety, and reliability of the freezer fishing vessels. This role involves detailed maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution both dockside and at sea. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance costs, overseeing work orders, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating drydock shutdowns, and providing technical support. Requirements for the position include a Marine Engineering qualification / National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), a diesel fitter/mechanic trade qualification, and at least 5 years experience in a maintenance management role in an engineering environment and/or drydock project.
