Mechatronics - PLC Technician

Location: Tzaneen, Limpopo Requirements: Electro-mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent Previous exposure to PLC and programming. Omron experience will be advantageous Technical experience with regards to mechanical and industrial electricity Electronic and IT knowledge or experience Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English). Spanish or French would be an advantage Must have a valid drivers license and a valid / renewable passport Must be willing to travel mostly in South Africa but international travel will be a requirement from time to time Responsibilities: Installation and commissioning of new machinery from inception to completion focusing on: o Electronics and IT o PLC and Automation Reduce and minimize minor stoppages and time loss due to operational stops by providing after sales service, focusing on: o PLC assistance o Electronic and IT assistance o Mechanical and Electrical repairs and adjustments Deal and follow up on costumer queries and complaints Provide detailed feedback to the group to implement technical solutions. Encourage a "learn from experience" culture within the technical team by sharing and re-applying technical knowledge to improve efficiency of the team. Specialized training, unique to the Company Group, will be provided to the successful candidate.
