HSE Consultant

Job Title: HSE Consultant (Fixed Term Contract) Salary: £40-£45k Location: CB9 8PH or general area Haverhill Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical manufacturer for a Health & Safety Specialist to support their Haverhill site. This fixed-term role will focus on creating safety-critical documents, including risk assessments and management system documents, under the direction of the HSE Manager. The site is undergoing significant development and improvement projects, and this role will play a key part in ensuring health and safety compliance. The position involves engaging with operational staff and attending operational areas to gather essential information for risk assessments. Key Requirements: NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Experience in creating risk assessments and management system documents Background in manufacturing environments Experience in chemical manufacturing (preferred but not essential) Strong communication skills to liaise with operational teams Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting Ideal Candidate: Organised and able to work independently Strong communicator who can build relationships across teams Positive attitude with a proactive approach This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their health and safety career, looking to gain experience in a challenging and evolving manufacturing environment.
