Tool Setter

1. Tool Preparation & Setup Set up and configure tools according to production requirements. Ensure correct tooling is available and in good condition before issuing to operators. Verify and ability to read tool specifications against engineering drawings. 2. Tool & Kit Management Assemble and issue tool kits for specific jobs, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Track tooling usage and ensure tools are returned after use Implementation of FOD control aligned with aerospace standards 3. Maintenance Inspect tools and fixtures for wear and defects, reporting issues as needed 4. Inventory & Stock Control Monitor tooling stock levels and notify tooling leader when consumables are approaching reorder points when necessary Update tooling inventory records using an ERP system, Excel, or barcode tracking Identify obsolete or surplus tooling and recommend disposal or repurposing 5. Process Compliances Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling efficiency and reduce waste Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations when handling tools and materials Assist in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for tooling management Maintain detailed records of tool movements, usage logs for traceability Implement and support lean manufacturing and 5S Methodologies to improve efficiencies 6.
