Databricks Developer - Python/Spark

Role : Databricks SME - with GCP expertise Location : Remote Requirement : 1. Good expertise in Databricks 2. Relevant experience of 4-6 years 3. Experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) 4. Hands on experience in writing Terraform scripts 5. Exposure to Cost optimization on GCP 6. Good communication skills We are seeking a skilled Databricks Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a 6-month contract position. This role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the client's office in Bangalore. The compensation is - 1.4 Lakhs per month plus GST.- Key Responsibilities : - Databricks Implementation : Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark. - Cloud Infrastructure Management : Leverage GCP services to optimize Databricks environments for cost and performance. - Infrastructure as Code : Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform scripts. - Cost Optimization : Implement strategies to monitor and reduce cloud expenditures on GCP. Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Qualifications : - Experience : 4-6 years in data engineering, with significant experience in Databricks and GCP. - Technical Skills : Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing; strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. - Terraform Expertise : Hands-on experience in writing and managing Terraform scripts for cloud infrastructure deployment. - Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
