Senior Server Engineer - VMware

Key Responsibilities : Windows Server Administration : - Administer and troubleshoot Windows servers, Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). - Maintain and optimize Windows server environments. Virtualization and Cloud Management : - Manage and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). - Administer and support cloud services (AWS/Azure). Security and Compliance : - Ensure server security through patching, hardening, and access control. - Implement and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans. - Adhere to security best practices and compliance standards. Automation and Scripting : - Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting languages. Incident and Problem Management : - Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents and problems. - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures. Requirements : - 11-12 years of experience in server administration. - Extensive hands-on experience with Windows server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. - Proven experience managing virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). - Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure). - Strong understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery principles. - Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell). - Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards. - Ability to work night shifts and provide 24/7 support in a BPO environment. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Additional Considerations : - Experience in a BPO or similar 24/7 operational environment is highly desirable. - Relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified : Windows Server, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
