Senior Network Administrator - Routing & Switching

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Maintain and troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks. - Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues promptly and efficiently. - Manage and configure network devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar). - Ensure optimal performance and security of network devices. - Monitor network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues. - Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively address network problems. - Provide network support in a 24/7 BPO environment, including night shifts and on-call support. - Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and vendors to resolve network issues. - Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems. - Ensure data security and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Requirements : Experience : - 6-7 years of hands-on experience in network administration. - Hands-on experience with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and firewall configurations. - Experience with network monitoring tools. - Ability to work night shifts and provide 24/7 support. Preferred Skills : - Experience with VoIP systems. - Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Relevant network certifications (e. CCNA, Network). - Experience with scripting languages (e., Python, Bash) for network automation (ref:hirist.tech)
