Job Description

What you will do? Responsible to meet Supplier Quality Metric (PPM’s) through effective corrective actions related defective raw material from External Suppliers using SMRR’s on IRIS System. Certify Key Suppliers to reduce Inspection time and assure the quality on the source if required take the lead for onsite audit. Responsible to expedite defective raw material on Hold Location. Coordinate Supplier Quality reviews with Corporate Supplier Quality Chain on main Suppliers affecting Metric. Participate and Commitment to Quality: Responsible to assure Supplier Quality that meet Johnson Controls Spec / Drawings Requirements and Quality Standards are followed on part / component level. Ensure Supplier meet agency requirements. How you will do it? Work with Suppliers to assure effective and on time corrective action implementation to meet Company SPPMGoal. 2. Develop Plans and execute to certify Key Suppliers in conjunction with Purchasing. 3. Work in conjunction with Supplier Global Quality and Purchasing with main Suppliers affecting PPM for continuous improvement, Monthly MQR meetings 4. Work with Sustaining Engr / Production / Purchasing to expedite Material on Hold location (MRB). 5. Provide support to Internal and External Customers to meet Delivery Performance related Supplier Quality Issues. 6. Work in conjunction with Quality Engineers, Mfg Engrs to improve Warranty and Process Metric related Supplier Quality Issues. 7. Participate on Suppliers assessment/on site audit when is needed. 8. Coordinate activities related sorting materials for third parties companies. 9. Coordinate activities related Incoming Inspection when is needed. 10. Coordinate non conformance parts from Production or Incoming Inspection 11. Coordinate RMA and Debit memo documentation to return no conformance material to Supplier. 12. EHS Committee Participation. 13. Member of Safety observation program. 14. Involve EHS area prior to implementation of new and modified materials or processes. 15. Define, implement and disseminate health and safety policy at work and the environmental policy in your area. 16. Contribute to compliance (as applicable) objectives and targets for safety, health and environment. 17. Participate in the review of the system. 18. Provide resources for the implementation of the system. 19. Participate in Training programming system. 20. Provide specific training to different functions for the proper functioning of the EHS Management System. 21. Identify training needs in safety, health and environment. 22. Train your staff in procedures and instructions. 23. Follow-up and review procedures and instructions OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001. 24. Attend trainings to learn about Lean & Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies as required by function and/or position. What are we looking for? BS Engineering Electronic, Mechanic or Similar Engineering Technology. Three years of progressive experience in Engineering Functions. Strong Technical skills in electro mechanics / electronics and manufacturing. Experience in PPAP / PAPSO Process. Experience on Quality System ISO 9000 related practices. Fully Bilingual Spanish and English.
