VSD & PLC Sales Representative

This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks which include visiting territory accounts to increase sales in the designated region to increase market share of our products. The sales engineer will also assist and participate as necessary on field technical support calls to educate and assist our end user customers use of our products in their application. 1. Make sales calls with sales representatives or to direct accounts independently in order to meet sales goals 2. Manage and develop business for variable frequency drives and PLCs in region through various prospecting and marketing activities 3. Prompt following up on sent quotes and provide customer feedback to management when neccessary 4. Growing a pipeline in line with required target 5. Must be able to strictly adhere to safety instructions and follow directions 6. Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented 7. Travel locally 8. Provide sales reports monthly of progress and targets Objectives of the role 1. To grow the current turn over of VSD and PLC sales 2. To identify new oppurtunities and customers in the VSD and PLC market 3. To maintain and grow current relationships formed with VSD and PLC customers 4. To provide a contact point for customers requiring technical assistance on our VSD & PLC products 5. To ensure customer understanding of the benefits of our brand of VSDs and PLCs over other brands in the market 1. Experience in variable frequency drives, PLCs and industrial automation is an added advantage 2. Knowledge of CRM system and process 3. Knowledge of MS Windows / MS Word, MS PowerPoint & MS Excel 4. Superior oral / written communication skills 5. Knowledge of Modbus, Communication Protocols 6. Basic knowledge of electrical requirements for VSDs 7. Any sales qualifications or courses advantageous
