Job Description
Educational Background A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Certificates in bookkeeping, such as the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) qualification, or membership with a professional body like the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and Accountants (ICBA), are advantageous. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software in IQ RETAIL Solid knowledge of South African tax laws, VAT, and compliance requirements. Expertise in preparing management accounts only. Financial Statements can only be prepared by a person qualified and a member of SAIPA South African Institute of Professional Accountants. Work Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, depending on the level of responsibility required Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Good communication skills for liaising with team members and management. Optional BUT Beneficial: Knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
