Senior Software Engineer (Java) Miejsce pracy: Żernica (pow. gliwicki) Technologies we use Expected Java SQL Kubernetes CI/CD TDD Prometheus Operating system Linux About the project The Senior Software Engineer with Java experience will be the part of a four-person international senior team. Role is based in the Streaming Team. SSE will be responsible for delivering the backbone of our video streaming services that relay live video from the pitch/course/court to users across the globe in real-time, ensuring scalability and reliability. SSE will be responsible for contributing to the success of the streaming platform through code contributions, upholding and enhancing team delivery practices. The streaming team primarily work with Java, Terraform and AWS, delivering with all the good stuff like pipelines as code, DevOps, Kubernetes, automated versioning/releasing. At any time production environment can be servicing up to 30 separate streams, with services dealing with bursty production traffic up to 9000 requests per second. We are looking for a true collaborator, who thrives in a team environment, actively seeking out personal development and supporting the development of others, person who will encourage and participate in open discussion of different solutions and approaches. Your responsibilities Own developing and supporting performant software using agile/XP practices Work with internal/external partners to define and build new products and features Work in a DevOps team with ownership of cloud automation using infrastructure as code. Participate in design/architecture sessions. Contribute to the technical direction of the team and department. Our requirements Experience developing performant and scalable software in Java Ability to deliver well tested code using Test Driven Development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Approachable and a strong communicator Interest in being involved with a dynamic & growing team.Experience designing, developing, and documenting client-facing RESTful and internal APIs Optional Experience delivering real-time, high traffic, high availability backend services Experience delivering cloud services using infrastructure as code Knowledge of and interest in a wide variety of sports is a huge advantage.
