Senior Cloud Support Engineer - vROPS/Vmware Vsphere

Job Description : Responsibilities : - Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for vRA, vROps, and vSphere environments, troubleshooting complex issues and resolving incidents efficiently. - Utilize vROps to proactively monitor the health and performance of the VMware infrastructure, identifying potential issues before they impact users. - Participate in incident management processes, including problem identification, root cause analysis, and resolution. - Execute changes to the VMware environment following established procedures, minimizing downtime and ensuring stability. - Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerCLI, vRO, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline operations and improve efficiency. - Create and maintain accurate documentation for the VMware environment, including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides. - Work closely with other teams, including infrastructure, networking, and security, to ensure seamless operation of the cloud platform. - Identify opportunities for improvement in the VMware environment and implement solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and security. - Mentor junior team members and share knowledge of VMware technologies. - Plan and execute patching and upgrades of VMware components, minimizing disruption to users. - Contribute to capacity planning activities, analyzing resource utilization and forecasting future needs. Required Skills and Experience : - Deep understanding of vSphere, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, vSAN, and NSX. - Extensive hands-on experience with vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerCLI, vRO (vRealize Orchestrator), and Python. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability1 to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other teams. - Ability to create and maintain accurate technical documentation (ref:hirist.tech)
