Company : AppTestify (Assuming based on the initial context) Role : Lead Data Scientist - Generative AI (GenAI) Location : Pune, Maharashtra, India (Remote) Experience : 8-12 years (Preferred below 10 years) Job Type : Contract (6 months with possible extension) Role Overview : AppTestify is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Data Scientist with a strong focus on Generative AI (GenAI) to join our team on a contract basis. This is an immediate requirement for a 6-month engagement with a strong possibility of extension. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions leveraging the power of GenAI and Natural Language Processing (NLP). You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and effectively manage stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. This is a remote role offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge GenAI : Technical Leadership & Strategy : - Lead and drive the development and implementation of GenAI and NLP-based solutions aligned with business needs. - Define the technical vision and strategy for GenAI initiatives within the organization. - Evaluate and recommend appropriate GenAI models, techniques, and frameworks for specific use cases. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GenAI and NLP and identify opportunities for adoption. Project Execution & Delivery : - Own the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI and NLP projects, from problem definition to deployment and monitoring. - Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust GenAI models for various applications (e.g., text generation, code generation, data augmentation, conversational AI). - Utilize NLP techniques for tasks such as text understanding, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and information extraction. - Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of developed models and solutions. Team Management & Mentorship : - Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers, providing technical guidance and support. - Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning. - Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team meets project timelines and quality standards. Stakeholder Management & Communication : - Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project progress and outcomes. Research & Innovation : - Conduct research and experimentation with new GenAI models and techniques to explore potential applications and improve existing solutions. - Contribute to the development of intellectual property and thought leadership in the area of GenAI. - Identify and evaluate new datasets and data sources relevant to GenAI projects. Data Management & Governance : - Ensure responsible and ethical use of data in GenAI applications, adhering to data privacy and security guidelines. - Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure the availability and quality of data required for GenAI projects. - Implement best practices for model versioning, deployment, and monitoring. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. - Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Data Science with a strong focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Mandatory : - Proven and in-depth experience working with Generative AI (GenAI) models and techniques (e.g., Transformers, GANs, VAEs, diffusion models). - Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and techniques. - Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. - Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and evaluation metrics. - Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior team members. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Technical Skills : Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python is mandatory. Experience with other languages like R or Java is a plus. GenAI Frameworks & Libraries : Deep expertise in one or more GenAI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers. NLP Libraries : Strong experience with NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Stanford CoreNLP. Cloud Platforms : Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for model training and deployment. Machine Learning Platforms & Tools : Familiarity with MLOps tools and platforms for model management and deployment. Data Handling & Databases : Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and databases (SQL and NoSQL). Version Control : Proficiency in using Git for version control. Soft Skills : Leadership : Ability to lead and motivate technical teams. Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
