Android Framework Developer - Embedded/Linux

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Framework Developer with experience in embedded Linux to join our team. This role focuses on developing and optimizing the Android framework for our embedded Linux-based devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android internals, Linux systems, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in C, C++, or Java, and familiarity with debugging methodologies. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, customize, and maintain the Android framework for embedded Linux platforms. - Port and integrate Android components onto target hardware. - Optimize Android performance and stability on embedded devices. - Implement new features and functionalities within the Android framework. - Work with the underlying embedded Linux system, including kernel modifications and driver development (if necessary). - Integrate Android with hardware peripherals and drivers. - Build and customize Android system images for target devices. - Utilize debugging tools and methodologies to identify and resolve issues within the Android framework and embedded Linux system. - Analyze logs, traces, and dumps to pinpoint root causes of problems. - Collaborate with hardware engineers to troubleshoot hardware-related issues. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C, C++, or Java. - Develop and maintain build scripts and automation tools. - Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git). - Work closely with other engineers, including hardware engineers, system engineers, and application developers. - Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. - Participate in code reviews and other collaborative development activities. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in Android systems and internals development. - Hands-on development experience on Linux-based systems. - Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Java. - Familiarity with Android debugging methodologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with Android porting and customization for embedded devices. - Knowledge of Linux kernel development and driver development. - Experience with build systems (e.g., AOSP, Yocto). - Familiarity with Python scripting. - Understanding of Android architecture and components. - Experience with performance optimization for embedded systems. - Contributions to open-source projects.
