HGS - Anaplan Consultant

Responsibilities : - Participate in all phases of Anaplan implementation projects, including planning, design, build, testing, and deployment. - Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, processes, and data landscape related to planning, budgeting, and forecasting. - Design and build robust and scalable Anaplan models, including workspaces, models, modules, lists, line items, and formulas, adhering to Anaplan best practices. - Develop and maintain complex Anaplan calculations and business rules using Anaplan's proprietary formula language. - Design and implement data integration processes between Anaplan and various source systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, data warehouses) using Anaplan Connect, APIs, or other integration tools. - Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity within Anaplan models. - Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and provide end-user training and support. - Assist in the development of Anaplan reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insightful business intelligence. - Participate in the development of project plans, timelines, and deliverables. - Identify and troubleshoot issues within Anaplan models and integration processes, providing timely and effective resolutions. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Anaplan features, functionalities, and best practices. - Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the development of Anaplan methodologies and accelerators. - Potentially work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and priorities effectively. Technical Skills : - Solid understanding of the Anaplan platform architecture, functionalities, and best practices. - Proven experience in designing and building Anaplan models from scratch, including proficiency in creating and managing workspaces, models, modules, lists, line items, and dimensions. - Strong understanding and practical experience in writing complex formulas and business rules using Anaplan's proprietary formula language. - Experience in designing and implementing data integration processes between Anaplan and various source systems using tools like Anaplan Connect, REST APIs, or other ETL tools. - Ability to perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, manipulation, and reporting. - Solid understanding of common business planning processes such as financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, sales planning, supply chain planning, etc. - Basic understanding of REST APIs and their use in integrating with Anaplan is a plus. - Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for automation tasks related to Anaplan is a Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into Anaplan solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. - Ability to gather and document business requirements clearly and concisely. - Strong presentation and training skills to deliver effective end-user training. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Understanding of financial and business concepts relevant to planning and : - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with the Anaplan platform. - Experience in at least one full lifecycle Anaplan implementation project is preferred. - Anaplan Model Builder certification is a significant plus. - Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) concepts. Bonus Points : - Anaplan Solution Architect or other Anaplan certifications. - Experience with specific Anaplan use cases (e.g., Sales Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Supply Chain Planning). - Experience with other Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools. - Consulting experience with client-facing roles. - Experience working in an Agile project environment.
