Java Developer

As a Java Developer , you will be working for our client, a leading global investment bank . You will be part of a dynamic team in the Systematic Trading Strategies Engineering group, where you will develop complex indices across various asset classes such as FX, Commodities, Rates, and Single Stocks. The project focuses on building low-latency systems that handle significant trading volumes daily, crucial to the bank’s trading operations. Warsaw-based opportunity (5 days a week from an office located in the city center) Your main responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain low-latency trading systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance trading algorithms and strategies Optimize system performance and minimize latency in high-volume trading environments Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and design patterns Participate in full SDLC, including source control management and CI/CD pipelines Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance and stability You're ideal for this role if you have: At least 3 years of experience in commercial Java development Working knowledge of modern SDLC workflows, source control, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns Familiarity with low-latency and performance-sensitive systems Understanding of unit testing principles and the ability to write efficient test cases Experience working with high-volume financial trading systems Knowledge of event-driven architecture and event sourcing systems Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills ​​​​​​​ Nice to have experience/skills Frontend programming skills (React) Low latency, garbage-free programming Appreciation and understanding of good design principles Experience with event sourcing systems Ideally, have a degree-level qualification in a technical subject (computer science/math), but not essential We offer you: ITDS Business Consultants is involved in various innovative and professional IT projects for international companies across Europe.
