Boilermaker/Welder

Duties: Planned preventative maintenance of the feed mill. Downtime to be minimized at all times. Ensure, at all times, plant and product quality. Follow the planned maintenance schedule and record the work on the maintenance record sheets. Continuously observe the plant to identify potential problem areas, bottle necks and possible areas where contamination can occur; then discuss the possible corrective and preventative measures with the Production & Distribution Coordinator. Ensure that tools and equipment are kept is a good state of repair. When modifications to the plant is required, or when repairs are outsourced, this needs to be supported with accurate specs and drawings. Control the cost of maintenance and consumables to within the specified budget and following the purchasing procedures. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the engineering store.
