Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Senior Power BI Developer Location: Scarborough, Ontario (Hybrid – 3 days in office) Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and manage business intelligence (BI) solutions, leveraging Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint . This role involves transforming complex data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop data models, and implement reporting solutions that align with best practices in data visualization. Key Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications . Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports . Implement data models and KPIs for performance monitoring. Conduct data warehouse development and support ETL processes. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity. Perform SQL querying, DAX scripting , and data visualization best practices. Train team members and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions . Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance BI capabilities and improve decision-making. Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. 5 years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence. Expertise in Power Automate, SQL Server, Azure, and cloud-based data warehousing . Strong knowledge of DAX expressions, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance . Experience with big data architectures and database management. Proficiency in Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and programming languages such as Python, R, VBA, and SAS . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate in French is an asset. Occasional travel to U.S. locations may be required.
