Contracts Manager Civil Engineering Newcastle Upon Tyne We are working with a well-respected contractor with an office base on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne to recruit and experienced Contracts Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team Previous experience of • Civil Engineering • Commercial Civil Engineering • Roads and Sewers • Industrial Civils • Industrial Buildings • Reinforced Concrete • Earthworks • Management of company`s own labour and plant • Liaising with design team • QEMS procedures • Programming & Planning Main duties of the role will be: • Assume responsibility for numerous projects from start to finish • Ensure Pre-Construction and Site Documentation is in place prior to site start • Be the technical point of contact for the project site team • Make sure plant, manpower and materials are ordered in a timely fashion • Ensure project it delivered to the master programme • Liaise with Design Team. • Management of On Site Delivery Team • Assume ultimate responsibility for Health and Safety and ensure the highest standards are upheld • Subcontractor Selection and Management • Work with the client to agree additional works • Ensure temporary works register is in place and fixed as per designs • Compile contractor reports and dropline programme for client meetings
