Job Description : - Experience in test automation using tools like Playwright. - Proficiency in Playwright. - Strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation. - Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. - Experience with Shadow DOM handling and cross-browser testing. - Knowledge of Git or similar version control systems. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. Roles & Responsibilities of an Automation QA Engineer 1. Test Automation Development : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc. - Write reusable and scalable test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Implement automation frameworks (e.g., Hybrid, Data-driven, BDD, or Keyword-driven). 2. Test Planning & Strategy : - Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies. - Identify key automation opportunities to optimize test execution. - Analyze and estimate test automation efforts. 3. Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) : - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Ensure automated tests run as part of build and deployment processes. - Troubleshoot build failures related to automation scripts. 4. Defect Identification & Reporting : - Execute automated test cases and analyze results. - Identify, document, and report bugs using defect-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps. - Work with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues. 5. Performance & API Testing : - Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6. - Automate API testing with tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI. 6. Code & Test Review : - Review test scripts for efficiency and maintainability. - Conduct peer reviews to ensure best practices in test automation. 7. Security & Compliance Testing : - Implement security testing practices in automation (e.g., OWASP guidelines). - Ensure test automation aligns with regulatory and compliance standards. 8. Documentation & Reporting : - Maintain test documentation, including test cases, reports, and automation framework details. - Provide test execution reports with insights into test coverage and defects. 9. Collaboration & Communication : - Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Provide feedback and recommendations for improving software quality.
