Data Architect - Azure Databricks

About the Role : We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Data/Solution Architect to join our team. You will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, designing robust big data solutions, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical implementations. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture principles, hands-on experience with big data technologies, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Roles & Responsibilities : - Elicit and articulate business and data requirements from business analysts across various functional and business areas. - Lead the design of end-to-end big data solutions, leveraging open-source and cloud-native technologies, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability. - Collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, data scientists, and management, to identify and define customer needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that solutions deliver value and meet business requirements. - Design data solutions following Agile practices (e.g , SAFe methodology), emphasizing testability, deployability, releaseability, rapid prototyping, data modeling, and decentralized innovation. - Champion a DataOps mindset, enabling the continuous evolution of the system architecture while supporting current user needs. - Create and maintain Architectural Runway and Non-Functional Requirements. - Design for Continuous Delivery Pipelines (CI/CD data pipelines) and ensure built-in quality and security from the start. - Demonstrate an understanding and ideally practical application of recognized architecture frameworks or standards (e.g , TOGAF, Zachman Architecture Framework). - Apply data, research, professional judgment, and experience to ensure that products maximize their impact on consumers. - Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse audiences, including user experience designers, developers, managers, and marketers. - Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Skills & Experience : - Strong hands-on experience with big data technologies, including PySpark, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage. - Deep understanding of data architecture principles and best practices. - Experience designing and implementing data solutions in Azure cloud environment. - Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g , SAFe). - Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman Architecture Framework). - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
