Integration Engineer - System Implementation

Job Title : HL7 Health-Connect Integration Engineer Location : Remote Experience : 8 Years About the Job : We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled HL7 Health-Connect Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Integration Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining seamless data exchange solutions between various healthcare systems. Your expertise in HL7 standards, InterSystems Health Connect, and integration methodologies will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our healthcare data integration processes. You will collaborate closely with both onshore and offshore teams to deliver robust and scalable integration solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. Key Responsibilities : Data Conversions : - Design, develop, and execute data conversion processes between Hospital Provider Systems and RIS (Radiology Information Systems) systems utilizing InterSystems Health Connect. Integration Solution Design : - Translate complex integration requirements into detailed, well-documented technical solutions, ensuring they are scalable, performant, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices. HL7 Mapping & Transformation : - Develop and implement intricate HL7 v2 and v3 mappings and transformations to facilitate seamless and accurate data exchange between disparate healthcare systems. Collaboration with Offshore Teams : - Work effectively and collaboratively with offshore development and support teams to ensure a consistent integration approach, knowledge sharing, and successful project delivery. Integration Validation & Testing : - Develop and execute comprehensive integration test plans and scenarios to validate the accuracy, reliability, and performance of implemented integrations. Provide technical guidance and support during testing phases. Troubleshooting & Optimization : - Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve integration challenges and issues. Assist in performance optimization and implementing scalability enhancements to ensure the long-term effectiveness of our integration infrastructure. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications : - HL7 Expertise : Demonstrated strong proficiency in HL7 v2 and v3 message structures, segments, and transformations. - InterSystems Health Connect & Health Share : Extensive hands-on experience and deep understanding of InterSystems Health Connect and Health Share platforms. - InterSystems Technologies : Proven experience working with InterSystems Ensemble, IRIS, Cache SQL, and Cache Object Script. - Integration Solution Design : Proven ability to design and implement complex healthcare integration solutions from requirements gathering to deployment. - Mapping & Transformation : Significant experience in developing and implementing HL7 mappings and transformations for seamless data exchange between various systems. - Testing & Validation : Proven experience in designing and executing integration validation and testing strategies to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance. - Collaboration & Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both onshore and offshore teams, as well as internal stakeholders, for successful project execution. Preferred / Secondary Skills : - Experience conducting Integration Reviews to assess the quality of existing integrations and ensure adherence to best practices and standards. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues efficiently. - Experience in identifying and implementing performance optimization and scalability enhancements for integration solutions. - Solid understanding of the healthcare domain, including familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and healthcare data exchange protocols. - Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and other relevant healthcare data security standards and best practices. - Familiarity with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards is a plus. - Relevant certifications in InterSystems Health Connect or other healthcare integration technologies are highly desirable.
