Automation Tester - Java/Selenium

Job Description : Java Automation Developer (Remote) Location : Remote Position : Java Automation Developer Employment Type : Full-Time (General IST Timings) Experience : 5-6 Years Notice Period : Immediate Joiners or Within 15 Days About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Automation Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for our applications, with a strong focus on mobile and API testing using Appium. You will collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain robust automation test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber. - Create and execute automated test cases for mobile applications (iOS and Android) using Appium. - Develop and execute automated test cases for APIs using tools like RestAssured or similar. - Design and enhance automation frameworks for scalability, reusability, and maintainability. - Implement best practices for test automation, including Page Object Model, Data-driven, and Keyword-driven frameworks. - Collaborate with development and QA teams for test planning, execution, and reporting. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings. - Analyze automated test results, identify defects, and troubleshoot issues. - Work with developers to resolve defects and ensure timely fixes. - Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab. - Ensure seamless execution of automated tests as part of the build and deployment process. - Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter to ensure application scalability and stability. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on automation best practices. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for test cases, test plans, test results, and automation frameworks. Required Skillset : Java Programming : - Strong proficiency in Java programming language. Test Automation Tools : - Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and/or Cucumber. - Experience with Appium for mobile automation. - Experience with API testing tools. - Experience with JMeter. Automation Frameworks : - Solid understanding and experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (Page Object Model, Data-driven, Keyword-driven). Version Control and CI/CD : - Familiarity with Git or SVN for version control. - Experience with Jenkins or GitLab for CI/CD pipelines. Project Management and Databases : - Experience with Jira for issue tracking and project management. - Knowledge of SQL for database testing. Agile Methodologies : - Understanding and experience in working with Agile methodologies. Problem Solving : - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Essential Qualifications : - Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 5-6 years of experience in Java automation development.
