Senior Oracle Database Administrator - RAC Module

Role Description : As a Senior Oracle and AWS RDS DBA, you will be a technical expert and problem solver, responsible for the smooth operation of our database infrastructure. You will leverage your extensive experience in Oracle and AWS RDS administration to manage installations, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery processes. Your ability to work in a hybrid and rotational shift environment will be essential for delivering continuous support. Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle standalone and RAC databases from scratch. - Manage RAC database installations, troubleshooting, backup, restore, and RAC standby. - Create and manage Oracle standby databases from scratch. - Perform Oracle standalone and RAC database upgrades (manual and DBUA). - Apply Oracle standalone and RAC database patches. - Perform performance tuning using tools like OEM, AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL tuning advisor, SQL access advisor, SQL profile, SQL baseline, and resource management. - Manage schema and tablespace. - Utilize Datapump, RMAN clone, and Transportable tablespace. - Manage AWS RDS, EC2, and S3 instances. - Perform instance migration/upgradation, RDS snapshot/cloning/restoration. - Understand and implement AWS VPC and security best practices. - Utilize AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). - Provide DBA support for PostgreSQL or MySQL databases. - Install, configure, and maintain secondary database systems. - Automate database tasks using Shell scripts, Jenkins, and Python. - Implement and maintain automation workflows. - Manage Linux and Windows operating systems. - Utilize ITIL processes for incident and change management. - Use JIRA for issue tracking and project management. - Demonstrate strong communication and customer handling skills. - Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders. Qualifications : Experience : - 10 years of experience in database administration in a production environment. - Extensive experience with Oracle DBA and AWS RDS DBA. - Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL as secondary skills. - Expertise in Oracle standalone and RAC database administration. - Expertise in AWS RDS, EC2, and S3 management. - Proficiency in performance tuning using Oracle tools. - Knowledge of AWS VPC, security, and DMS. - Experience with Datapump, RMAN clone, and Transportable tablespace. - Proficiency in Shell scripting, Jenkins, and Python for automation. - Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems. - Knowledge of ITIL processes and JIRA. - Experience with Neo4j, DocumentDB, DynamoDB is a plus.
