Job Description
This role involves providing 2nd and 3rd level technical support for internal data communication systems, including LANs, WLANs, and WANs. The Infrastructure Engineer will report directly to the Regional Service Delivery Manager within the Network & Communication unit, which is part of the Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) department. Key Responsibilities : - Provide 2nd level technical support for Internet, Firewalls, LANs, WLANs, WANs, and other network components. - Respond to service calls, incidents, and service tickets in ServiceNow. - Monitor and troubleshoot network issues in LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments. - Implement network configurations and coordinate with vendors for installing routers, concentrators, switches, and firewalls. - Ensure network security through log analysis, patch management, and system integrity checks. - Support and implement disaster recovery and failure testing procedures. - Maintain system documentation in compliance with quality and security standards. Required Skills & Experience : - 5-8 years of IT experience in network technology and IT infrastructure services. - Strong experience in Cisco LAN/WLAN Networks (Meraki). - Good knowledge of network security and firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco FTDs). - Experience in SD-WAN products like Fortinet, Cisco. - Knowledge of APIs and scripting (Python) for automation. - Hands-on experience with WAN Optimization, Cloud-based services (e.g., Zscaler, Cisco Meraki). - Familiarity with Infrastructure Monitoring tools like SolarWinds. Preferred Skills : - Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. - Experience in enterprise-level network support. - Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management tools.
