Volante Technologies - Lead Quality Analyst - Manual/Automation Testing

Job Description : As a Lead Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products. You will lead testing activities, develop and enhance automation frameworks, and mentor junior team members. Your deep understanding of the payments/fintech domain, coupled with your technical expertise in manual and automation testing, will be essential to your success. Responsibilities : - Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on requirements and specifications. - Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. - Review and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects. - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium with Java, BDD-Cucumber, Maven, Gitlab, and TestNG. - Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and performance testing. - Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Apply knowledge of the Payment/Fintech domain (ISO 20022, SWIFT, and other industry standards) to ensure thorough testing of payment processing functionalities. - Understand and validate payment workflows and data flows. - Lead and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance and support. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. - Utilize bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) to report, track, and manage defects. - Perform root cause analysis and contribute to problem-solving. - Generate and distribute test reports and metrics. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. - Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. - Work with Linux operating systems and RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) for testing and troubleshooting. - Understand and utilize protocols such as JMS, HTTP, SOAP, and FTP (desirable). - Work with application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic) and MQ technologies (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) (desirable). - Experience with cloud technologies (AWS), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) is a plus. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering. Experience Level : - 5-8 years of relevant experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing. - Laterals who have completed courses in Testing are encouraged to apply. Technical Skills (Essential) : - Experience in Manual/Functional and Automation Testing. - Proficiency in preparing test scenarios, test cases, and reviewing test plans. - Experience with the Payment/Fintech domain (ISO 20022, SWIFT, etc. - Expertise in Automation Tools: Selenium with Java, BDD-Cucumber, Maven, Gitlab, TestNG, Core/Advanced Java, API Testing Basics. - Experience with Agile Methodology, Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle, and Bug Tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla). - Working experience with Linux Operating Systems and RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) (ref:hirist.tech)
