Director - Data Science

About the Role : We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Data Science to lead our growing data science team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving innovation, developing cutting-edge data-driven solutions, and providing strategic leadership to leverage data as a key asset for our organization. You will build and mentor a high-performing team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. As the Director of Data Science, you will be a thought leader, shaping the direction of our data science initiatives and ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and driving the adoption of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques across the organization. Responsibilities : - Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the data science strategy, aligning it with the organization's business goals and objectives. - Team Leadership and Development : Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts. Qualifications : - Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading and managing data science teams. - Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. - Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Strong understanding of data infrastructure and governance principles. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Experience in a relevant industry is a plus.
