Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Job Description : As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our network infrastructure team. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing complex network environments, troubleshooting critical issues, and providing expert-level support. Your strong understanding of routing and switching protocols, combined with your hands-on experience in data center networks, will be essential to your success. Responsibilities : - Master in IPv4 and IPv6 Routing basics. - Expert-level knowledge of IGP Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP). - Mastery of BGP & Advanced BGP, including BGP peering and Path Manipulation. - Understanding and implementation of HSRP/VRRP for network redundancy. - Configuration and management of Route Redistribution & filtering. - Implementation and troubleshooting of Multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP, MSDP, MBGP). - Very good understanding of Network Redundancy and failover scenarios. - Ability to design and implement highly available network architectures. - Ability to answer real-world scenario questions related to Multicast and Routing & Switching. - Hands-on experience with Nexus platforms. - Ability to read and analyze packet captures for troubleshooting. - Deep knowledge of Routing and Switching infrastructure. - Hands-on experience in Data Center network design, implementation, and management. - Understanding of data center network architectures and best practices. - Design and implement complex network solutions based on business requirements. - Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams. - Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for network issues. - Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions. - Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex network problems. Required Skills & Qualifications : Experience : - 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer. - Significant experience in data center networking. Technical Skills : - Master in IPv4 and IPv6 Routing. - Expert-level knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Multicast protocols. - Hands-on experience with Nexus platforms. - Ability to read and analyze packet captures. - Strong understanding of Routing and Switching infrastructure. - Experience with HSRP/VRRP, Route Redistribution, and filtering. - Knowledge of network redundancy and failover scenarios (ref:hirist.tech)
