Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Position Name : Network Engineer (Fulltime). Job Location : Hyderabad. Experience Level : 8 Yrs. Work Mode : Work From Office. Responsibilities : - Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless network solutions. - Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions. - Develop network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures. - Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. - Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues. - - Perform network security assessments and implement security measures. - Manage and maintain network monitoring tools. - Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. - Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments. - Ensure compliance with security policies and standards. - Diagnose and resolve complex network issues. - Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams. - Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. - Optimize network performance and ensure high availability. - Implement QoS policies and traffic management techniques. - Analyze network traffic and identify performance bottlenecks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver network solutions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular status updates. - Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise. - Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and procedures. - Generate reports on network performance and security. - Liaise with network equipment vendors for support and maintenance. - Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions. Required Skills : - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching protocols (VLAN, STP). - Expertise in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.). - Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security best practices. - Proficiency in using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios). - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Excellent documentation and reporting skills. - Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Basic scripting skills (Python, shell scripting) are a plus. Required Experience : - 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer. - Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. - Strong experience in network security and troubleshooting. - Experience with enterprise-level network environments.
