Senior PL-SQL Developer

Role Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL/SQL solutions for our enterprise-grade software. You will leverage your deep expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and database technologies to deliver high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior developers and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes. Responsibilities : - Develop, configure, and customize software features according to design documents and enterprise software standards. - Write efficient and optimized PL/SQL code, including functions, procedures, packages, and triggers. - Design and implement complex SQL queries using joins, hints, indexes, and analytical functions. - Work with large volumes of data and ensure data integrity and performance. - Implement various file handling techniques, including SQL Loader, UTL File, and external tables. - Apply OOP concepts to PL/SQL development, ensuring scalability and maintainability. - Analyze and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and other techniques. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in PL/SQL code and database queries. - Conduct performance testing and monitor database performance metrics. - Plan and perform unit and functionality testing to ensure software meets design specifications. - Debug complex PL/SQL code and resolve software defects. - Utilize debugging tools and techniques to identify and fix issues. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior PL/SQL developers. - Contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (BE/B.Tech). - 5 years of experience in PL/SQL development. - Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and database technologies. - Extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries, functions, procedures, and packages. - Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization. - Experience with large-scale data processing and handling. - Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. - Strong understanding of database concepts and data structures. - Experience with Unix shell scripting. - Familiarity with OOP concepts. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Has high-attention to details and works well in a dynamic and challenging Capabilities : - PL/SQL Development experience in SQL Unix Shell Scripting Performance Query Tuning. - Strong experience in writing Functions Procedures packages etc. - Strong experience in writing complex SQL Queries using Joins Hints indexes etc. - Should have worked on different file handling techniques, SQL Loader UTL File External Tables etc. - Should have worked on Analytical functions, Collections Bulk Data operation etc. - Hands-on experience in SQL, handling large volume of data. - Excellent debugging skills. - Quick learner, good verbal, and written communication skill. - Problem solving skills, analytical mind with high ability for self-learning are essential. - Analyses information and deduces conclusions within the wider professional space. - Starts to be seen as a professional by his team and peer community. - Responsible for developing/configuring feature(s), functionality for an enterprise-grade software independently. - Attention to details, effective tasks management and planning. - Actively engages others in work done, to expand and broaden professional domain. - Familiar with coding concepts for ensuring high scalability, multi-user, secured coding.
