Senior DevOps Engineer - Docker/Kubernetes

Role : Senior DevOps Description : Exp : 5-8 years We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems. Responsibilities : - Design, build, and maintain our infrastructure, leveraging cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated software delivery. - Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues. - Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime. - Implement security best practices, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data. - Automate manual processes to increase operational efficiency. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for process improvements and tooling enhancements. Security Integration : - Embed security into DevOps workflows, including static code analysis, dynamic testing, and vulnerability assessments. - Set up and manage tools for secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager). - Enforce best practices for identity and access management, including role-based access control and least-privilege principles. - Implement security into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc. - Automate security testing using SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing). - Design, deploy, and manage cloud resources in AWS and Azure. - Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation. - Ensure cloud environments comply with security and compliance standards. - Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications - Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems - Candidates with experience in managing large-scale, highly available, distributed systems. - Understanding and experience working with UNIX/Linux fundamentals, databases, Java, JavaScript. - Strong metrics and operational excellence focus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge between teams of varying technical expertise. - Collaborate with a globally distributed team to design, build, and maintain tools, services, and infrastructure that support product development, testing, and CI/CD pipelines for SaaS applications hosted on public cloud platforms. - Ensure DevOps infrastructure and services maintain the required level of availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. - Diagnose and resolve complex operational challenges involving network, security, and web technologies. This includes troubleshooting problems with HTTP load balancers, API gateways (e.g., NGINX proxies), and related systems. - 5 years of hands-on experience in security tools automation SAST/DAST (SonarQube, Fortify, Mend), monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace), and other cloud-native tools on AWS, Azure, and GCP. - 5 years of hands-on experience in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform, Puppet, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), AWS Cloud Formation, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager. - 2 years of hands-on experience with cloud-native services like data lakes, CDNs, API gateways, managed PaaS, security, etc., on multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Strong understanding of methodologies like, XP, Lean, SAFe to deliver high-quality products rapidly. - General understanding of cloud providers security practices, database technologies and maintenance (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Aurora, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) - Kubernetes Management : Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, or GKE). - Istio Service Mesh : Implement and manage Istio for service discovery, traffic routing, observability, and security. - Helm Charts : Develop, maintain, and optimize Helm charts for application deployments. - CI/CD Automation : Integrate Kubernetes deployments with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps). Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role, preferably in a Linux environment. - Strong background in Linux system administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python). - Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). - Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration. - Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP). - Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, ELK Stack). - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD concepts. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications : - Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). - Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). - Knowledge of database administration and management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices. - Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and microservices security. - Certification in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, CISSP, or DevSecOps certifications). - Familiarity with compliance standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
