Job Description Key Responsibilities : - Power BI Solution Development : Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business needs. - Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports for various stakeholders. - Optimize Power BI data models for performance and efficiency. Data Modeling and Transformation : - Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models. - Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration to ensure accurate and reliable reporting. - Implement best practices for data modeling and establish data governance standards. Data Integration : - Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including databases, APIs, and other data repositories. - Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data flow between systems. - Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Power BI. Optimization and Usability : - Optimize existing reports and dashboards for improved performance and user experience. - Utilize best practices for performance, scalability, and usability in data visualizations. Technical Leadership : - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers on the team. - Participate in agile development processes and contribute to overall project planning and execution. - Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. - Work independently on complex projects, demonstrating initiative and the ability to solve problems without constant oversight. Required Skills and Expertise : - Expertise in Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and Advanced Excel. - Ability to create Rich and dynamic reporting UI - Slicing and dicing of analytical data for reporting purposes - Proficient in RDBMS concepts and good amount of experience in SQL Server. - Strong expertise in SQL with the ability to perform complex queries, optimize performance, and handle data transformations. - Familiarity with data integration and common data protocols and formats such as JSON, CSV, and XML. - Understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and ETL concepts. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills (ref:hirist.tech)
