Power BI Developer - ETL/Data Warehousing

About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer/Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable Power BI solutions that drive business insights and support strategic decision-making. You will leverage your expertise in DAX, Power Query, cloud databases, and advanced analytics tools to create complex semantic models, interactive dashboards, and insightful reports. This role demands a strong understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and Agile methodologies. You will also be involved in Power BI administration, deployment pipeline management, and integration with other enterprise systems. Responsibilities : - Design and develop robust Power BI reports and dashboards that align with business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). - Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards with complex custom visuals. - Develop Paginated Reports for detailed, printable outputs. - Design complex semantic models, including composite models, to support advanced analytics. - Utilize DAX and Power Query for data manipulation, calculations, and performance optimization. - Perform data loading and refresh operations through the XMLA Endpoint. - Proficient in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes, with a strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts. - Work with multiple on-premise and cloud databases to extract, transform, and load data into Power BI. - Ensure data integrity and consistency across various data sources. - Integrate advanced analytics tools (Python, R) or data science concepts into Power BI solutions. - Develop and maintain Power Automate flows for data automation and workflow management. - Familiarity with Databricks for data processing and integration. - Manage Power BI workspaces, security, and content sharing. - Implement and manage Deployment Pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments. - Familiarity with Power BI Embedded or Power BI REST API for advanced integration and automation. - Implement Agile methodologies in BI solution delivery. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver solutions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - 5 years of experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards. - Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query. - Extensive experience working with multiple on-premise and cloud databases. - Experience in building Power BI reports with complex custom visuals. - Experience in Power BI data loading through XMLA Endpoint. - Experience in working with Power Automate flows. - Experience in creating Paginated Reports. - Experience with advanced analytics tools (Python, R) or data science concepts integrated into Power BI. - Proficient in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes. - Experience in implementing Agile methodologies in BI solution delivery. - Experience in working with Deployment Pipeline. - Experience with Power BI Administration, including managing workspaces, security, and sharing content. - Familiarity with Databricks. - Familiarity with XMLA. - Familiarity with Power BI Embedded or Power BI REST API. - Strong understanding of XMLA. - Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Experience with other BI tools and technologies. - Experience with JSON and XML (ref:hirist.tech)
