WAF Solution Engineer - Akamai/F5 Application

Key Responsibilities : - Configure and manage WAF solutions (Akamai, F5, AWS WAF, GCP, Azure) to protect web applications from OWASP Top 10 threats and other vulnerabilities. - Develop and fine-tune custom WAF rules to enhance security while reducing false positives. - Analyze web traffic logs to identify anomalies, troubleshoot security events, and mitigate false positives effectively. - Collaborate with SOC, CSIRT, and AppSec teams to investigate security incidents and enhance WAF policies. - Design and implement WAF efficacy testing to ensure detection and mitigation capabilities remain effective against evolving threats. - Perform penetration testing and security assessments to identify web application vulnerabilities. - Monitor and optimize WAF performance, ensuring minimal impact on application availability and user experience. - Document and maintain WAF configurations, policies, and tuning processes. Required Qualifications : - 8 years of experience working with WAF solutions (Akamai, F5, AWS WAF, GCP, Azure). - Experience tuning WAF rules to balance security controls with usability. - Hands-on experience analyzing web traffic logs to distinguish between legitimate and malicious activity. - Familiarity with SOC, CSIRT, or AppSec roles, with a focus on web security incident response. - Proficiency in creating and implementing efficacy testing for WAF or similar security solutions. - Knowledge of cloud security best practices for AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
