The Role : Workday Payroll Consultant : Key Responsibilities : - Configure and manage Workday Canada Payroll systems. - Lead and support end-to-end Workday implementations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and ensure accurate reporting. - Handle third-party payroll integrations (advantageous). - Work with Workday Absence/Time Tracking modules to manage time tracking deliverables. - Manage Workday Payroll processes and related HCM core areas. - Translate business requirements into complex system configurations. - Engage effectively in multiple, parallel projects. - Prioritize conflicting demands with minimal supervision. - Analyze large HR data loads for accurate data transfer. - Provide training and assistance on Workday process best practices. - Work with Information Systems partners to implement process upgrades and system enhancements. - Develop and execute test plans for payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle changes. - Prepare and edit reports and user-friendly dashboards. - Address customer inquiries while meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Work with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs), integrations, and calculated fields. Skills Required : Technical Skills : - Workday Payroll Certification (preferred). - Minimum 5 years of experience in Workday Payroll. - At least 3 years of Workday Canada payroll configuration experience. - Strong understanding of Workday Canada Payroll and related HCM functions. - Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. - Knowledge of Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs) and Workday integrations. Behavioral Skills : - Innovative, creative, and flexible in problem-solving. - Strong Agile process knowledge and experience with product delivery. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. - Excellent communication skills, including interacting with C-level executives. - Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. - Self-driven with exceptional initiative and follow-through. - Passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing. - Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX teams, leadership, and stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or similar technical field of study, or related practical experience. Master's degree preferred, but not required. - Workday Payroll Certification (Additional advantage) - 3 years' Workday Canada payroll configuration experience (ref:hirist.tech)
