Lead Machine Learning Engineer - LLM/RAG

Responsibilities : - Design and implement LLM-based operations, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and model fine-tuning. - Self-host and manage open-weight models. - Build AI models from scratch, developing and refining training/evaluation datasets. - Apply effective data-cleaning practices to ensure model accuracy. - Develop and maintain backend applications using languages like Javascript, Python, Java, or similar. - Work with relational databases, data warehouses, and SQL for data exploration and analysis. Cloud Deployment & Management : - Deploy and manage AI/ML applications on cloud platforms like Google Cloud (or similar). - Utilize Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient model deployment and monitoring. - Implement and utilize AI model monitoring and observability tools (Langfuse, Langsmith, Lunary, etc. - Ensure model performance and reliability. - Develop and implement automated testing using tools like Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks. Requirements : Experience : - 10 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on AI/ML. Technical Skills : - Proven experience implementing LLM-based operations (RAG, fine-tuning, self-hosting). - Proficiency in backend development (Javascript, Python, Java). - Deep understanding of relational databases, data warehouses, and SQL. - Hands-on experience building AI models and managing datasets. - Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud or similar). - Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with AI model monitoring and automated testing tools. Education : -Advanced degree in computer science, information science, data science, mathematics, or equivalent experience (ref:hirist.tech)
