SAP AMS Lead Consultant

Job Summary : We seek an experienced SAP AMS Lead to oversee and manage SAP Application Management Services. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless support, continuous improvement, and optimization of SAP applications in alignment with business objectives. This role requires deep expertise in SAP modules, strong problem-solving skills, and leadership capabilities to drive AMS operations effectively. Key Responsibilities : Service Delivery & Incident Management : - Lead and manage the AMS team to ensure high-quality SAP support and maintenance. - Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes based on ITIL best practices. - Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met for SAP application support and enhancements. Stakeholder Management & Communication : - Act as the primary point of contact between business users and the AMS team. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth SAP operations. - Communicate effectively with senior management on issue resolution, system performance, and service improvements. Continuous Improvement & Optimization : - Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive problem management to minimize recurring issues. - Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements in SAP support processes. - Monitor system performance and recommend optimization strategies. Governance & Compliance : - Ensure SAP operations align with industry standards, security policies, and compliance requirements. - Maintain documentation for AMS processes, including knowledge bases and SOPs. - Support audits and risk management initiatives. Leadership & Team Development : - Lead, mentor, and train the AMS team to enhance their SAP skills and domain knowledge. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team. - Collaborate with offshore and nearshore teams for 24/7 SAP support. Required Skills & Qualifications : SAP Expertise : Strong functional and technical knowledge in SAP S/4HANA , BTP. ITIL Knowledge : Understanding of ITIL framework for incident, problem, and change management. Leadership Experience : Prior experience leading SAP AMS or support teams. Analytical Thinking : Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Project Management : Ability to manage priorities, escalations, and drive service improvements. Preferred Qualifications : - Knowledge of cloud-based SAP solutions (SAP BTP, HANA Cloud, etc. - Experience working in a global AMS support environment or managed service operations. - SAP certifications in any of the BTP pillars. - Experience in multi-cloud and hybrid integration landscapes. - Exposure to AI/ML-driven integration automation. Education & Experience : - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 9 years of experience in SAP application management and support.
