Security Automation Engineer - Monitoring Tools

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement security automation scripts and tools using Python and other scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, etc.). - Automate security tasks, including vulnerability scanning, incident response, configuration management, and compliance monitoring. - Develop and maintain automation frameworks and pipelines to streamline security operations. - Integrate various security tools and platforms (SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint security) using APIs and other integration methods. - Develop custom integrations to enhance data sharing and automation capabilities. - Automate cloud-native security controls in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for secure cloud deployments using tools like Terraform. - Automate vulnerability scanning and remediation processes. - Develop scripts to analyze vulnerability data and generate actionable reports. - Apply knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and risks (OWASP Top 10, CVEs, etc.) to automation efforts. - Provide technical support for security automation tools and processes. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex security automation issues. - Develop and maintain security automation documentation. - Implement secure coding practices in all automation scripts and tools. - Stay up-to-date with the latest security automation trends and technologies. - Contribute to the improvement of security automation frameworks. Requirements : - Strong experience in security automation, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and methodologies. - Proficient in Python and other scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, etc.) for automation and tool development. - Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security. - Familiarity with APIs and integrations between various security tools and platforms. - Hands-on experience with cloud security, including automation of cloud-native security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks (OWASP Top 10, CVEs, etc.). - Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, etc.). - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security, AWS Certified Security - Specialty) are a plus. - Proven experience in developing and implementing security automation solutions. Desired Skills : - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Knowledge of security orchestration and automation response (SOAR) platforms. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines for security automation. - Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
