SAP GTS Consultant - Configuration & Implementation

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP GTS Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP GTS solutions that streamline our clients' global trade processes and ensure compliance with complex international trade regulations. You will leverage your deep understanding of SAP GTS functionalities and global trade best practices to deliver effective and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successful SAP GTS implementations. Responsibilities : SAP GTS Configuration and Implementation : - Design, configure, and implement SAP GTS modules, including Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Risk Management, to meet specific business requirements. - Configure and customize various GTS functionalities, such as sanctioned party list screening, license management, customs declarations, preference determination, and restitution. - Develop and maintain functional specifications, technical documentation, and configuration guides. - Conduct thorough system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) to ensure solution quality and performance. - Manage and execute cutover activities and provide post-go-live support. Business Process Analysis and Design : - Conduct detailed analysis of clients' global trade processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. - Design and implement tailored SAP GTS solutions that streamline trade operations, enhance compliance, and improve efficiency. - Lead workshops and gather comprehensive requirements from business users and stakeholders. - Develop and document detailed business process flows and solution designs. Data Migration and Integration : - Plan and execute seamless data migration activities for SAP GTS implementations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. - Develop and maintain robust data mapping and transformation rules. - Integrate SAP GTS with other SAP modules (e.g, SD, MM, FI) and external systems (e.g, customs brokers, freight forwarders) using appropriate integration technologies (e.g, IDocs, APIs, Web Services). - Ensure data consistency and reliability across integrated systems. User Training and Support : - Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users on SAP GTS functionalities and best practices. - Develop user-friendly training materials, including user manuals, presentations, and quick reference guides. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP GTS issues and errors in a timely and efficient manner. - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented SAP GTS systems, including incident management and change requests. Project Management and Collaboration : - Manage SAP GTS implementation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. - Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. - Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers. - Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Compliance and Regulatory Expertise : - Stay abreast of the latest global trade regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. - Provide expert advice and guidance on trade compliance matters, including export controls, import regulations, and customs procedures. - Ensure SAP GTS solutions align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Continuous Learning and Innovation : - Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP GTS technologies, features, and best practices. - Research and evaluate new SAP GTS tools, functionalities, and methodologies. - Contribute to the development of internal knowledge repositories and best practice documentation. - Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance expertise. Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience : - 5 years of proven experience as an SAP GTS Consultant. - Demonstrated expertise in configuring and implementing SAP GTS modules. - Strong understanding of global trade processes, regulations, and best practices. - Experience with data migration, integration, and reporting in an SAP GTS environment. - Proven experience in managing SAP GTS implementation projects. Technical Skills : - Expert-level knowledge of SAP GTS configuration and customization. - Deep understanding of global trade compliance and regulations. - Proficiency in SAP GTS implementation methodologies and tools. - Familiarity with ABAP programming (desired). - Experience with SAP S/4HANA GTS (desired). - Knowledge of data migration tools and techniques.
