Appian Developer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Appian Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable Appian applications that automate and optimize complex business processes. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into efficient and user-friendly Appian solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Appian development best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging low-code technology to drive business transformation. Responsibilities : Appian Application Development & Implementation : - Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, rules, data models, and integrations. - Utilize Appian's low-code platform and SAIL (Simplified Action Interface Language) to build robust and scalable applications. - Develop and implement complex process flows, business rules, and integrations with external systems (e.g, databases, APIs, legacy systems). - Configure and customize Appian components to meet specific business requirements. - Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to Appian best practices. Requirements Analysis & Solution Design : - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents. - Design and document Appian application architectures, data models, and integration strategies. - Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure solution feasibility and alignment with business objectives. Testing & Quality Assurance : - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Appian applications. - Perform unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Identify, document, and resolve defects and issues. - Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Appian applications through rigorous testing and code reviews. Deployment & Maintenance : - Deploy Appian applications to development, test, and production environments. - Provide post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - Implement application updates, enhancements, and bug fixes. - Monitor application performance and proactively address any issues that arise. Collaboration & Communication : - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers. - Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Contribute to team knowledge sharing, best practices, and process improvement initiatives. Continuous Learning & Innovation : - Stay up-to-date with the latest Appian technologies, features, and best practices. - Research and evaluate new Appian tools and techniques to enhance development efficiency and application functionality. - Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to expand Appian expertise. - Contribute to the development of innovative Appian solutions and : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
