Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases. - Perform database backups, recovery, and performance tuning. - Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks. - Implement and maintain database security measures. - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues. - Plan and execute cross-platform Oracle database migrations. - Develop and implement migration strategies and procedures. - Ensure data integrity and minimize downtime during migrations. - Perform pre-migration assessments and post-migration validations. - Work with different operating systems, and versions of oracle. - Perform database upgrades and patching. - Implement and maintain database replication and high availability solutions. - Develop and maintain database documentation. - Optimize SQL queries and database performance. - Provide technical support to developers and other stakeholders. - Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure database integration and Skills & Experience: - 5-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA. - Strong experience in Oracle database administration and maintenance. - Proven experience in cross-platform Oracle database migrations. - Proficiency in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization. - Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices. - Experience with database backup and recovery procedures. - Experience with SQL and PL/SQL. - Understanding of different operating systems, and how oracle functions on them. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Oracle certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
