Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect - Apex/LWC

Job Title : Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect Location : Remote Experience : 7-8 years (Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud) Shift Timing : 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST (2nd Shift) Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to provide technical leadership and guidance for the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated marketing automation solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, coupled with strong development skills in Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading full-cycle implementations, architecting scalable and robust solutions, integrating Marketing Cloud with various internal and external systems, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant applications. This position demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to effectively manage stakeholders across different teams. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the technical design and architecture of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions to meet complex business requirements. - Spearhead 2-3 end-to-end implementation projects, from initial requirement gathering and solution design to deployment and post-go-live support. - Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints. - Design and document high-level technical frameworks, data models, integration strategies, and deployment plans for Marketing Cloud solutions. - Develop and implement custom solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud using technologies like Apex, LWC (for Cloud Pages and custom components), AMPScript, SSJS, and SQL. - Design and implement seamless integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other enterprise systems (e.g, CRM, ERP, data warehouses) utilizing REST and SOAP APIs. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques. - Act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, providing insights and recommendations on platform capabilities and potential solutions. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Marketing Cloud configurations, automations, integrations, and custom development. - Ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions through rigorous testing and code reviews. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, updates, and best practices. - Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution presentations and technical estimations. Required Skills & Experience : - Minimum of 4 years of hands-on development experience specifically within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. - Proven expertise in developing and implementing solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), particularly in the context of Cloud Pages and custom Marketing Cloud applications. - Deep understanding and practical experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud core functionalities, including: - Journey Builder : Designing and implementing complex customer journeys. - Automation Studio : Building and managing automated data processes and workflows. - Email Studio : Creating and managing email campaigns, templates, and content. - Mobile Studio : Implementing SMS and push notification campaigns. - Content Builder : Utilizing various content blocks and dynamic content features. - Audience Builder : Segmenting and managing subscriber data. Personalization Builder (Preferred) : - Strong proficiency in working with data extensions, data relationships, and data management within Marketing Cloud. - Excellent SQL skills for querying and manipulating data within Marketing Cloud. - Extensive experience with AMPScript and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) for dynamic content personalization and advanced scripting within Marketing Cloud. - Solid understanding of REST and SOAP APIs for integrating Marketing Cloud with external systems. - Demonstrated ability to design scalable and performant solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges. - Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proven ability to manage and collaborate with stakeholders across different business units and technical teams. - Experience working independently and as part of a geographically distributed team. Preferred Skills & Experience : - Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Architect). - Experience with AI and Machine Learning concepts and their application within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform (e.g, Einstein features). - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g, Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices. - Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git). - Knowledge of security best practices for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations. - Experience with data migration and data cleansing activities within Marketing Cloud. - Exposure to other Salesforce clouds (e.g, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud). - Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies relevant to Marketing Cloud development.
