Job Description

Do you have experience with one or more Cloud providers and DevOps practices? We would like to give you the chance to boost your career and learn more about Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling. What are your responsibilities as DevOps, Cloud Engineer? You will develop your career in our engineering department, contributing to define and implement a slick, robust and reliable cloud solution and champion DevOps culture and practices throughout our engineering teams, proportionally to your level of experience. You will write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and develop application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools. You will implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling. Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca where all the teams are working closely together in developing our products for our major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive and food and beverage. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working that has really been embedded in our daily work. We leverage teamwork, self-organization and proactivity as the best solution comes from collective intelligence and collaborative decision making. Responsibilities: Contribute to design and implement our Cloud platform infrastructure. Evolve and maintain our internal cloud platform, to improve the reliability, scalability and the observability of our services. Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry standard tools and services. Contribute to design and implement the infrastructure, system and tools used by our engineering team to develop, deploy and observe their application. Design and manage our observability solution, including monitoring, logging and tracing. Write application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools. Work closely with our engineering teams to identify necessary resources and implement automated, scalable, and repeatable provisioning workflows using cloud-native best practices. You may work in hybrid mode in our Lucca’s office or in remote mode (in Italy) if you are based far from that location. What should you bring to CCH Tagetik part of Wolters Kluwer? You Must Have: Extensive knowledge and experience in one of the major clouds including AWS, Azure. Google Cloud Platform is a plus. Experience working with Kubernetes in Development and Production environments. Experience in designing, deploying and engineering cloud-native microservices within Kubernetes and containerized environments. Understanding of architectural patterns, security best practices, and industry standards for protecting services in cloud platforms. Strong understanding of network topologies and components, deployment methods and constraints in the cloud. Coding skills (Python). Experience with IaC tools (Terraform). Experience in monitoring platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, Cloud Watch). Experience with source control management tool (Git). Experience with CI/CD platforms and GitOps tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD). Problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrable experience as DevOps or SRE (Site Reliability Engineer). Attitude to work in a team. Enthusiasm and passion for work. Flexibility, autonomy and proactivity. Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English. It is better if you also have knowledge of the following: Experience working with Agile/Scrum frameworks. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Familiarity with managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS). Familiarity with service mesh, API gateway (Istio, Kong). Familiarity with Elasticsearch stack (ELK), Grafana. Experience as Developer (Java, JavaScript, C#) is considered a plus. What do we offer you at CCH Tagetik part of Wolters Kluwer?
